This database of compensation for Nebraska public employees is published by The Flatwater Free Press, a nonprofit and nonpartisan news organization.

The database includes payroll information compiled from the State of Nebraska, the five largest counties and cities, and the three largest public power districts. There are some inconsistencies in the types of information provided by each organization. Any changes we made to the data, including calculating totals, are explained on each organization’s page.

We look forward to growing this resource over time by bringing additional public records to light, providing more transparency, openness, and accountability in Nebraska’s government.
